Default Macaw advice please

Hi Guys

I am very new at parrot breeding and I want to add some macaws to my aviary. Do you guys have any advice on which macaw is the best? I have space for 3 pairs. How would you rate them along the lines of:
ease of breeding, feeding, attitude, popularity etc?
Also where we live it gets very dry and very hot.

Thanks, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Mowtobo

This is a big question, so lets try some of the easy points first.

There are 17 macaw species and two general sizes of macaws. Ten are considered to be the large macaws while the other seven are the mini or dwarf macaws. Most macaws in the wild are endangered due to the destruction of the rainforest and capture for the pet trade. The Spix's macaw is already extinct in the wild. There is only a small population in conservation programs.

They like to bathe, so you need to consider this in a hot dry climate. Check this link for a nice description of each species to start.
