I purchased the toy cell phone at Pick n Pay.
Hope things have improved that side with the toys.
With Mishka sitting on my lap I showed her the toys. Pressing the buttons etc.
First she was very very wary. Took a few nights for her to get curious.
Eventually when on my lap, she came towards the toys.
Now it's a daily routine, talk talk talk then toys.
It takes them time to adjust to something new.

Apologies for taking so long to respond. Unfortunately I am in PE. Do you notice if it is particular times of the day. Maybe she is a bit grumpy first thing in the morning, or maybe its around her eating time. Try diarising when it happens, you may see a pattern. Is there somebody else with you when she nips? There are many factors, so you need to start broadly and try and find a pattern to start with.

I also purchased a toy cell phone....
You press buttons it says 1 2 3 etc as well as the alphabet.
She sits on my lap, I press the buttons and say the words.
